Role: Project Specialist – Global Customs
Location: UK wide – Manchester based WFH, with occasional international travel
The Project Specialist – Global Customs Communication plays a key role in connecting operational customs expertise with structured communication and commercial development across DSV.
This role sits at the intersection of customs, communication, and business growth. It supports the development of internal and external platforms, translates complex regulatory and operational topics into clear business messaging, and enables Global Customs to be positioned as a strategic capability to customers.
What will you be doing?
• Support and drive Global Customs communication initiatives across all regions, ensuring alignment with the global framework.
• Translate customs regulations, operational processes, and market developments into clear, structured communication for internal and external audiences.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal SharePoint platforms and external website content for Global Customs.
• Create and support customer-facing materials, including presentations, webinars, and value propositions.
• Coordinate with regional customs teams to gather regulatory updates, operational insights, and market intelligence.
• Support communication and positioning of customs services, ensuring consistency with DSV’s commercial strategy.
• Contribute to tender support and customer engagement where customs expertise is required.
• Support representation of Global Customs in trade associations, industry events, and external forums.
• Align customs messaging with MARCOM channels, including newsletters, campaigns, and digital platforms.
• Act as a bridge between operational customs teams, commercial stakeholders, and communication functions.
• Structure and maintain governance of customs-related content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
About You
• Previous experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related operational customs environment.
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to analyse regulatory and market developments and translate them into clear business impact.
• Experience engaging with trade associations, customs authorities, or government bodies.
• Exposure to customer-facing, commercial, or consultancy environments.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to simplify complex customs topics for different audiences.
• Experience supporting digital platforms, content development, or data-driven processes.
• Structured, organised approach with excellent project coordination skills.
• Ability to work across regions and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on enabling commercial growth and strategic positioning.
