Purpose of the job/ Overall responsibility

What are the expected end results?

Senior SAP EWM Consultant is an Implementation, Migration role responsible for designing solutions based on SAP EWM, configuring SAP EWM, consulting the business organization and working in implementation projects leading functional workstreams and managing the overall project.

Additionally, this role is acting as part of the 3. Level Support Organization supporting the implementations delivered by the team

Success criteria/KPI

Metrics

• EWM/WMS functionalities are delivered in alignment with the team’s Definition of Done.
• Effort estimations are submitted on time and remain within agreed accuracy thresholds.
• Functional task statuses are updated daily in the project management system to reflect actual progress.
• Impediments and delays are tracked, mitigation actions are implemented, and progress is reported weekly.
• Efforts are recorded and reported on a weekly basis.
• Functional requirements are documented, and implementation is planned and executed accordingly.
• Defects and incidents are managed based on agreed KPIs and prioritized according to project guidelines.
• Overall success of the project is based on real time feedback.

Key Tasks

What are the tasks involved to reach the expected end results?

• Lead and contribute to multiple SAP EWM implementation and rollout projects alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases.
• Configure and customize SAP EWM solutions to meet business requirements including SAP SD, MM, FI related configurations to the project.
• Analyze customer needs, business processes and design tailored EWM-based IT solutions.
• Collaborate with local warehouse teams to support all IT-related implementation activities.
• Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable EWM template components.
• Conduct training sessions for Key users, end users and Support colleagues to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and operational handover.
• Align solution designs with business stakeholders and IT solution owners.
• Coordinate and manage external partners, including consultants and third-party vendors.
• Participate in project planning activities with clients, business analysts, and internal teams.
• Evaluate functional requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and provide cost estimates.
• Provide hands-on support during go-live phases and as part of 2 Level Support to ensure successful deployment and operation.
• Support integration and user acceptance testing in collaboration with project teams.
• Carries out internal and customer testing of applications acc. to business
• requests.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for training and operational use.
