As HR Specialist, your primary responsibility is to implement HR processes in adherence with: the Kuwait Labor Law, regulations from the Public Authority for Manpower, DSV HR policies, DSV Code of Conduct, and DSV Human Rights Policy. Your secondary responsibilities include conducting trainings that reinforce policies and other training programs cascaded by the regional L&D team, organizing and executing programs that enhance employee engagement, and collaborating with the management in developing HR initiatives in line with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert on legal regulations and company policies, and ensure compliance when carrying out HR processes
  • Facilitate internal trainings including new hire orientation as and when required, and coordinate outsourced trainings; maintain related reports
  • Conceptualize, organize, and execute events to strengthen employee engagement and promote employee wellness
  • Assist in ensuring effective communication of new policies, programs, and other HR initiatives
  • Conduct thorough investigations of discipline and grievance cases
    • Assess disciplinary cases objectively against company policies and carry out corresponding disciplinary steps
    • Hear out complaints and grievances, reaffirm employee rights, and coordinate necessary remedial steps
  • Manage tasks, reports, and documentation related to disciplinary actions, attendance monitoring, administration of employee accommodation, and employee offboarding
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and programs aligned with business and HR goals
  • Refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the concerned HR lead
  • Any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet business exigencies

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in cases requiring escalation
  • Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new systems and tools
