Purpose of the position

This position should administer effective continous sourcing of qualified candidates for all open positions and advance talent pooling for all current positions in the organization for future needs.  This position will also own complete onboarding process and ensure to provide good employee onboarding experience. 

Perform a variety of HR requests and support all HR-related projects and activities.

 

Key Tasks

Sourcing and Pooling of Candidates: 

We are looking for a Sourcing specialist to support our recruiting team and help us place qualified candidates faster.

Tasks include below: 

  • Initiate and manage the talent bank and ensure to have healthy pool of candidates for current open positions
  • Attract internal applicants or employees to apply for open positions thru regular sending of job internal posting to the enrire organization 
  • Attract external candidates by regular job posting in recruitment platforms; manage the candidates flow and the systems used
  • Using social media networks (e.g. LinkedIn, etc.) to look for and connect with potential candidates.
  • Sending recruiting emails and organizing an effective employee referral system to get candidates especially te hard-to-fill roles.
  • Interacting with professionals in niche platforms, like Linked In etc. and partner recruitment agencies 
  • Reviewing online portfolios and resumes to pre-screen candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify each position’s requirements
  • Assist to required candidates to log information in our Applicant Tracking System and other internal databases
  • Contact past applicants for new job opportunities if needed
  • Identify future hiring needs and proactively source potential hires
  • Measure and report on recruiting metrics, like source of hire and time-to-fill
  • To be successful in this role, you should combine knowledge of sourcing techniques with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Onboarding Experience for Employees:

  • Perform pre-job offer activities like conducting background checks etc. 
  • Manage and responsible for all the pre-employment requirements for new hires 
  • Track and ensure completion of pre-employment documents and prepare it as part of 201 filing
  • Arrange and ensure compliance of new hires to pre-employment medical examinations (PEME)
  • Assist to conduct and schedule the Induction program for new hires (onsite or virtual)
  • Create a new hire profile in HRIS 
  • Assist on other requirements needed for new hires

 

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

  • Good knowledge of principles and processes covering the full HR spectrum; end-to-end employment cycle and activities especially on sourcing, recruitment and onboarding.
  • Experience in HRIS preferably SAP success factor 
  • Working experience in BPO / Shared service center organizational structure is a must
  • Working experience in the freight forwarding/logistics business is an advantage

Educational background / Work experience

  • College bachelor’s degree (any field or related/equivalent experience) 
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in sourcing of candidates or as a recruiter/talent acquisition specialist role
  • Minimum 3 years of generalist HR experience
  • Work experience in the freight forwarding/shipping line industry is an advantage
  • Familiarity with social networks, professional sites and resume databases
  • Good time-management skills with the ability to handle various open positions simultaneously

 

Language skills

  • Excellent English communication skills (speaking and writing) 
  • Knowledge in another language is an advantage

 

Computer Literacy

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems
  • Skills in other HR-related applications/software is an advantage
