The role:
The Lead IT Expert – Technology & Processes will play a central role in managing, optimizing, and evolving the technologies and processes that support our contract logistics operations. This position requires a uniquely broad and deep understanding of modern IT environments - including infrastructure, software development, cloud platforms, integration patterns, and enterprise solution design. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency with technology and process expertise in software development projects.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in complex environments, can translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, and can guide cross‑functional teams through the full lifecycle of technology initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technology standards for the Contract Logistics IT unit aligned with global IT standards, operational needs, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
- Drive modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption, automation, integration enhancements, and data driven process improvements
- Assess and scan existing solutions for technology compliance and drive migration and replacement programs for non-compliant technologies
- Ensure standard technology adoption for new solutions, and all used administration and management tools used in Contract Logistics IT
- Oversee global IT technology and methodology standards and changes and drive adoption in Contract Logistics IT
- Report technology compliance and drive migration programs for noncompliant technologies
- Serve as a subject matter expert for IT systems, integration platforms, and operational technologies
- Assess and improve existing IT processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and quality
- Design, document, and maintain IT department processes following recognized standards (e.g., BPMN, ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000)
- Ensure processes are consistently followed across project, operations, and support teams
- Establish process governance frameworks, including KPIs, compliance checks, and improvement cycles
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with cross-functional teams to align requirements and define process outcomes
- Train employees on technologies and processes
- Partner with tool owners to implement process changes
Our requirements:
- Proven track record managing complex software development projects as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Product Owner, or higher managerial role
- Broad and deep knowledge of modern industry standard technologies across infrastructure, end-to-end software delivery including project management, solution technologies like programming languages, databases, frameworks, and deployment and test automation
- Ability to map nonfunctional requirements of complex solutions to best fitting technology approaches
- Decent understanding of approaches for seamless migration or replacement of deprecated technologies in existing solutions
- Solid knowledge of scanning/analysis tools to detect use of deprecated and noncompliant technologies
- Professional experience in process analysis, design and optimization
- Professional training or certification in process methodologies (e.g., BPMN, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL) is a plus
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging technical and managerial audiences
- Strong problem solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- High level of ownership, accountability, and strategic thinking
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, cloud certifications (Azure/AWS), or other technology certifications would be beneficial
- Understanding Contract Logistics and general logistics processes would be a plus
- Very good understanding of IT project and technology lifecycles
- Ability to lead discussions, mediate between teams, and drive consensus
- Highly self reliant, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Fast learner with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Fluent in written and spoken English at a professional level
