The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and operating scalable, secure and automated DevOps platforms that support the development of public‑facing, microservice‑based applications hosted in AWS. As part of the DevOps Platform Team within the Business Unit Global Road IT (GRIT), the role ensures that development squads are empowered with modern tooling, CI/CD workflows and cloud‑native best practices to deliver high‑quality software at speed.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and extend development platforms that support real‑time, data‑driven applications
  • Enable development teams with best‑in‑class tooling for CI/CD, infrastructure, observability and cloud operations
  • Work closely with squads (backend, frontend, QA, analysts, architects) in an Agile environment
  • Participate early in the software engineering lifecycle and contribute DevOps expertise to design and architecture discussions
  • Support development teams hands‑on and drive a culture of shared responsibility
  • Create scalable, secure and automated infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and Ansible
  • Operate and optimize cloud‑native components (Opensearch, Redis/Memcached, Nginx, PGSQL, Helm, Kyverno, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement of deployment workflows, operational processes and platform reliability

 

Our requirements:

  • Over five years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or related areas
  • Proven experience working in Agile development environments
  • Strong customer and service orientation
  • Fluent Business English (spoken and written)
  • Deep knowledge in: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Amazon Web Services, Strimzi Kafka, Linux, Git
  • Nice to have: Java, SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL), Golang, GitLab CI / Argocd 
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for automation and process optimization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical domains
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to explore new technologies
  • Structured, reliable and quality‑oriented working style
