Position Description Summary: Manage various duties within the Land Transportation / Dray Department in the USA to ensure effective and efficient operation.
Principal Accountabilities
(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
· Establish a drayage carrier database, in various markets across the US, to identify reputable drayage carriers that can support the intermodal ocean product.
· Establish a rate matrix of drayage carrier rates to help establish a unified pricing tool for the intermodal ocean product.
· Communicate with drayage carriers to help with shipments from key rail ramps, or piers to/from client’s facilities.
· Reconcile reports to help identify possible opportunities for street turns.
· Assist in the data entry of key data elements during the implementation of any new systems.
· Manage the data needed from drayage carriers in order to become an approved carrier.

Essential Functions:
Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
Knowledge and Skills:

· Bachelor’s Degree Required and 5 plus years of related experience preferred
· Strong planning, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work under time pressures

· Proficient in the use of various business computer software programs (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
· Ability to learn and adapt applications
· Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
