Summary

The Senior Team Lead, Talent Acquisition, serves as a senior recruiting professional and functional leader responsible for managing complex recruitment initiatives, supporting strategic and difficult-to-fill hiring efforts, and providing day-to-day guidance and mentorship to Talent Acquisition team members.  This role maintains an active portfolio of professional, strategic, and high-priority requisitions while partnering closely with business leaders, P&O Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition leadership to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies.  The Senior Team Lead serves as a subject matter expert for recruiting best practices, supports onboarding and development of Talent Acquisition team members, leads recruiting-related projects and initiatives, and helps ensure an efficient, compliant, and positive recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for professional, strategic, executive, and difficult-to-fill positions across multiple business units, locations, and functions.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates in competitive labor markets.
  • Partner with business leaders and P&O Business Partners to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities, and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct intake meetings and workforce planning discussions to develop recruitment strategies for critical hiring initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing guidance on recruiting strategies, sourcing techniques, candidate engagement, and stakeholder management.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and support to Talent Acquisition team members to promote recruiting excellence and professional development.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new Talent Acquisition team members.
  • Promote consistency in recruiting processes, documentation standards, and candidate experience practices.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders to ensure alignment throughout the recruitment process.
  • Provide labor market insights, talent availability trends, compensation intelligence, and workforce planning recommendations to support hiring decisions.
  • Develop proactive recruiting strategies to address workforce challenges and anticipated hiring demands.
  • Support organizational growth initiatives, site launches, expansions, start-ups, and workforce ramp-up activities.
  • Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, quality of hire, offer acceptance rates, sourcing effectiveness, and recruiting pipeline activity.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to improve recruiting efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition leadership with recruiting analytics, reporting, forecasting, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Support Applicant Tracking System (ATS) enhancements, recruiting technology implementations, and process standardization efforts.
  • Lead or participate in Talent Acquisition projects, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and participate in hiring events, career fairs, military recruiting programs, university partnerships, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including P&O, Operations, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and Shared Services to support hiring objectives.
  • Serve as a project lead for assigned recruiting initiatives, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder communication, and successful outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OFCCP, EEO, Affirmative Action, pay transparency, and other applicable regulations.
  • Support internal audits, reporting requirements, and compliance reviews related to Talent Acquisition activities.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned..

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including experience recruiting for professional, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Experience serving as a Senior Recruiter, Lead Recruiter, Team Lead, Project Lead, or similar role providing guidance, mentorship, or functional leadership to others.
  • Experience supporting high-volume, multi-site recruiting operations across geographically dispersed locations preferred.
  • Experience within logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or other operational environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building partnerships with business leaders and influencing hiring decisions.
  • Experience utilizing recruiting metrics, labor market data, and talent acquisition analytics to support hiring strategies and business objectives preferred.
  • Experience leading recruiting projects, process improvements, or Talent Acquisition initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of OFCCP regulations, Affirmative Action requirements, EEO compliance, pay transparency requirements, and applicable employment laws preferred..

  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and recruiting technologies.
  • Ability to analyze recruiting data and generate reports using various reporting tools and systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives and organizational goals.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, and use hands to operate standard office equipment. The position requires extended periods of computer use, including reviewing resumes, managing applicant tracking systems, preparing reports, and communicating electronically. The employee is frequently required to participate in phone, video, and virtual meetings for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

 

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and routinely uses computers, phones, headsets, video conferencing platforms, and other standard office equipment. The role requires prolonged periods of computer work, virtual collaboration, candidate interviews, and telephone communication. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate. Travel of up to 30% may be required to support hiring events, career fairs, site launches, workforce ramp-ups, business meetings, and other Talent Acquisition initiatives. The position may occasionally require work outside of normal business hours to support recruiting activities and business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
