Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring that processes and procedures are followed to maintain efficient and effective operations. They will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, tracking inventory levels, ensuring accuracy of shipments, and maintaining a safe work environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring that they follow proper procedures and protocols.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying accuracy of orders and coordinating with shipping carriers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of all products.
  • Monitor the quality of products and ensure that they meet customer specifications.
  • Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures, including regular safety inspections and training for all warehouse staff.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain records of all warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, shipments, and safety inspections.
  • Communicate with other departments within the company to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics management role is required for this position.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and software

  • This position will supervise and train warehouse staff.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics, such as through the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) or the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (ASTL)

 

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

 

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with warehouse management software is required.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $68,000.00 - $88,500.00/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
