The world's largest engines keep running thanks to air freight

Every year, MAN Diesel & Turbo’s service brand PrimeServ sends approximately 1,800 tonnes of air freight out of Denmark and 250 tonnes out of Singapore. These shipments will now be handled by DSV.

The agreement builds on a long-lasting relationship with the world leader in large diesel engines and also includes outbound transport of ocean freight and an estimated 30,000 yearly express shipments.

MAN Diesel & Turbo delivers both engines and spare parts around the world. When a ship’s engine breaks down off the coast of Madagascar, the costs of a delay make almost instant delivery of spare parts a necessity. That is why MAN Diesel has three cardinal demands for their transport supplier:

1. Speed: get to any destination in the world on time without any delay.
2. Reliability: Deliver on time to prevent any delay.
3. Exception management: Any possible deviation must be identified, reported and corrective actions implemented immediately.

DSV is investing in the extended partnership by integrating EDI-systems and creating a global account team that will cooperate closely with the MAN Diesel & Turbo operations team and coordinate shipments from both Denmark and Singapore.
