EUR 1 information

Italian Customs Authority has recently issued new instructions to fully comply with European Regulation about EUR1/ATR1 issuance.

Based on the above, as fm Feb 1st, 2020, those certificates will no longer be issued (only few exceptions allowed) and all Italian exporters must be registered as “authorized exporters” so that all commercial invoices will show in the invoice’s body the official statement and authorization number.

This statement will guarantee the importers same rights of the EUR1/ATR1 certificates when it comes to duty at the destination’s Customs.

Procedure will be easy and smooth and every single Italian exporters have to apply for registration by his own to the local Customs Offices.

There will be a window period fm now on where EUR1/ATR1 will of course still be issued but Italian Customs Authority strongly recommend all the Italian Exporters the start the registration procedures to get ready for the official implementation date.
