Streamlining global supply chain with control tower and 4PL approach

A customer with operating divisions on four continents and round-the-clock demands needed relief from day-to-day logistics issues, as well as tighter management of its international supply chain. DSV provided a control tower model with an integrated traditional 4PL model to deliver a full suite of integrated supply chain services under a single umbrella. DSV worked as “general contractor” to orchestrate services from other providers, such as truckers, freight forwarders, wharf transport operators and customs agents, while also handling account management tasks like booking, invoicing and financial processing.

DSV streamlined and reduced costs of administrative processes, and our tracking tool boosted visibility of the customer’s freight in more than 60 manufacturing sites.
